To Whom It May Concern:
Kathy Moeller was invited by the Brain Injury Alliance of Oregon to speak at the 11th Annual Pacific Northwest Brain Injury Conference on March 9, 2013. Ms. Moeller facilitated a breakout session on the topic, “The Future of Prosthetic Cognition.” Approximately 40 participants attended, including individuals with brain injury, family members and professionals. Feedback was very positive. Her session received a rating of 5 out of a possible 5 from attendees’ feedback. In fact, people attended the conference for the first time just to hear her presentation.
Ms. Moeller has been a regular presenter at our conferences for many years. In years past, she had facilitated breakout sessions in both informational and workshop formats. One of the most popular was a session where she distributed tools and demonstrated real-world skills and strategies for workers with brain injury. Her expertise is in the area of returning individuals with cognitive impairment to the workplace, and most recently, how to use assistive technology to regain function. She was the recipient of the former Brain Injury Association of Oregon’s “Clinician of the Year” award in 1996, and has been certified as a CBIS (Certified Brain Injury Specialist) by the Brain Injury Association of America.
We plan to invite Ms. Moeller to be a future presenter, as her sessions are always well received.
